This subscription affilliates members of the Nursling & Rownhams History Group to LTVAS (Lower Test Valley Archaeological Study) Group which also incorporates the Romsey Local History Society and the Wellow History Society and allows you to attend their meetings and talks without charge. However this may be subject to sufficient seating being available at their venues.
There may be a charge to cover the cost of refreshments (if and when available) and also, where some speakers ask for expenses to be covered, a small additional contribution may be asked for at some meetings. Day trips, walks and visits may require bookings to be made to ensure availability and are normally subject to additional cost.
Nursling Church
St Boniface's Church, Nursling, is a 13/14th century building and is linked to the 8th century monk called Winifrith, who taught at an Anglo Saxon monastery thought to have been situated nearby. Winfrith was later canonised during his ministry in Northern Europe, and became known as St. Boniface.

Rownhams Church
St John the Evangelist Church, Rownhams was constructed in 1855 and extended in 1885 to serve the growing Victorian community of the village of Rownhams.
